But I wished they take it a step further and go for some greasy vocals. It would be amazing. With all respect, Argentinian cumbia is something else. I would put it in its own genre. Is really good but is not cumbia. I am from a place were cumbia still is huge and not was. Yes – he produced it. But it’s like they went down a checklist to make this record, from the tone of the clean guitars, the Farfisa sounding organ, the fuzzed-out guitars, and even the vocals- all of it is a direct copy of the style of the original chicha bands.
